My time on the road has ended—for now at least.

San Francisco, somewhere I truly did not believe I would end up, is in fact home for the summer. I'm not sure if it will stick, but I'm more open than ever to not trying to control things too hard, and simply seeing how they unfold.

Location: San Francisco

(1 block from Dolores Park)

Honorable mentions:

  • Before I putting a single thing away, the industrial 3x5 mat had to go. I hopped on Facebook Marketplace and found the West Elm Souk Shag Wool Rug ($503) for only $60. I just had to walk it 8 blocks from their door to mine.

  • Removed some unnecessary furniture ✔️

  • Brought in incense, tea candles, set up an air purifier, and

  • Installed a way to keep the door closed (Munchkin Xtraguard Child Safety Cabinet Locks)

  • Lots of research to find the a nice a decently priced computer monitor for new consulting projects - takeaways:

    • 4K UHD (3840 x 2160)

    • 27" or 28" is best ergonomically

  • Brought in new bedding and a more forgiving desk chair

  • Found a dresser in the closet that made more sense in the room itself
